It's [livejournal.com profile] sprklydncgrl's fault. She started it.

In other news....[livejournal.com profile] stamplet has been having the biggest MMC party ever in her journal, which of course, makes her the coolest person alive. *cheers* So far, I've gotten: Stone Cold Gentleman, Motownphilly, the Camp Rap skit, the Bomb Squad skit, Pride In The Name of Love, Black Or White, The Way She Loves Me, and a handful of credits and Emerald Cove.

Yeah, I've pretty much been camped out in her journal as of late, why do you ask? Heh.

But, MMC! It's so fun! The hair, and the dancing, and the clothes, and I think Blain even got to sing in one song, instead of just lurking around and looking creepy! I am pretty durn impressed.

Moving along to long, sad pet babble )

Well, enough dreariness for tonight. Remind me not to write any more entries at one in the morning, I get all mopey and shit. :) If you got through that, you deserve a cookie. Hell, you deserve a cheesecake. LOL.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty much a Britney supporter, no matter what. Because every time I read a new story about her, I usually come down on her side.

So, apparently this new boyfriend is not Justin (though it looked a lot like him in one picture), nor is it Brian Austin Green (though I could have sworn it was him in one of the pictures), but some dude named Kevin. And Kevin, shockingly enough, has a long-time girlfriend and a child.

Okay, I mean....I'm not saying that it's cool that Britney has a tendency to hook up with guys who are married, or might as well be married. But after seeing article upon article of the girlfriend talking about what a god-awful person Britney is, and how she's breaking up a family, and.....so on and so forth, I get a little riled up.

What responsibility does the boyfriend have in this? This is the same thing as the Columbus story. Both women railed and called Britney out, and I don't exactly expect them to welcome her with open arms or anything......but they very rarely speak out about their men. I'm sorry, but if my boyfriend would cheat on me, and cheat on me so publicly? His ass would be out on the street before he could even blink.

Yes, I know - Britney is famous, and rich, and hot, and yes, men will fall for that easily. But does that excuse it? How does this become solely her responsibility? The men are every bit as culpable as she is, and, at least in my opinion, even more culpable, because they are the ones in the serious relationship that they're throwing away. So maybe their women ought to think about that, instead of just pointing the finger at Britney and screaming that she "stole their men and broke up their family"......and then, after the man has had his fill of the media and craziness that surrounds Britney and crawls home, they take him back. Because obviously, he's totally a keeper. *eyeroll*

Like I said....yes, Britney probably has some blame in all of this, but I don't think she's totally to blame. All of this talk just makes me think, more so than Britney, it's these other women who have a problem. Why would you even want a man who would cheat on you, for all the world to see?! Hell, maybe they ought to send Britney thank-you cards for taking the assholes off their hands.

.....

I've come to the conclusion that I missed the Entertainment Weekly '90s Pop Culture Quiz issue. This makes me want to cry, because damn it, I know I would have kicked ass on that. :-( *sob*

.....

And....apparently, I've run out of things to say. Imagine that.
