I think this is a sign that I've watched my DVDs a few too many times.

This is really quite long....but I wanted to post it for my own observation, and I figured - hey, it's Lesley's birthday, so what better day than to go through and pick out my favorite MMC performances? Watch out, the list is MASSIVE. Hence why I'm putting it behind a cut.

Rock It To You - okay, honestly, I think I really just love Albert's little "Baby baby when you called me on the phone to-day" bit. The rest of it is really cheesy. And I'm a little creeped out by the fact that Braden and Brandy are playing love interests even though they look like identical twins. And is Deedee wearing a sailor outfit?!

Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Albert + Deedee = Awesome. That kind of sums it up, really. And I get the sneaking suspicion that Albert had a crush on Deedee, because whenever they're performing together, he seems to get all squishy and blushy. So cute!

Motown Medley - maybe I like medleys? I don't know. And I still don't really get why Brandy, Deedee, and Roque are all wearing one gigantic dress at one point.

Soldier of Love - well, uhm, it's Albert. And.....okay, that's really all I've got.

Miss You Like Crazy - because wow, Roque can really sing. And I'm assuming the picture is supposed to be of her dad, so.....awww, sad.

Dance To The Music - you know, I'm really not sure why I like this one. But I just do.

Right Here Waiting - DUDE. You're kidding me, right? It's Albert singing Richard Marx, and he does such a good job, and really, this right here is what cemented my Albert crush.

Sing Sing Sing - not sure why again. Just do. It can't be the outfits. They sure got their money out of those girl pants with the giant flap thingy, didn't they?

On Our Own - because it's so cheesy and literal! When Damon says "That's not legal!", they show him dressed as a judge, powdered wig and all! And they're throwing a party for a bunch of children! And they're wearing the Ghostbuster jumpsuits with their mouse ears! Ahahaha.

Hold On - the one with Albert and Roque and Co. And for some odd reason, they've dressed Albert in about six different layers of clothing, and the poor kid nearly sweats himself to death.

Blame It On The Rain - remember what I said about Albert + Deedee? Adding Chase works, too. I especially love the part where he's beating the countertop with the towel. Seriously, though, I kind of love Chase. He tried so hard to be "hot", and instead, he just came off kinda....well...."serial killer". Have you seen the video for Don't Be Cruel? If it wasn't so hilarious, it would be goddamn creepy.

When I See You Smile - speaking of goddamn creepy, there's this part where Teeny Tiny Ilana (so cute!!) dances around Chase while he basically sings to her and.....well, it's kind of wrong. But I love the song, and he does a good job - all serial killer stares aside - and I liked the concept of him singing while the girls all danced.

Little Red Riding Hood - Teeny Tiny Ilana! In an adorable red ensemble! And in the background, on the TV monitors, there is the most hilarious shot of little Josh Ackerman ever.

Get Up On Your Feet - because Kevin is so, so gay. And this was before he started wearing his hair so it looked like he had a receding hairline at the age of fifteen. (But, really, if you want gay, watch Dancing On The Ceiling. Because oh my freakin' lord).

Little Shop of Horrors - The earlier seasons have given me an appreciation for the more musical themed numbers. This one was fun.

Turn It Out - my love for this video knows no bounds. There's this shot where Damon has his back turned to the camera and is singing over his shoulder while Albert and Chase are on either side of him (you'd probably have to see it to understand) and it's just GREAT. It is cheese on a cracker, people.

Love Potion #9 - Marrrrrc! Uh, yeah. That's all, really.

Love Will Lead You Back - because Deedee rocks.

She Blinded Me With Science - because as far as I'm concerned, Chase is much better at playing Goofy Guy than Sex Symbol.

I'll Be Good To You - Albert + Deedee = Awesome, Part 2.

Storm Me - because Albert was really hot. Yeah, I know, you're sick of hearing it. But here, he was actually kind of hot, as opposed to just cute.

Benefit of the Doubt - because Tasha actually did stuff. And I didn't even mind Nita.

I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend - because even if Chase[n] hates it, it still makes me happy. Soooo cornball! And in the little performance clip, Albert is totally not into it at all. It's sort of funny.

Everybody Dance Now - because I like the big dance numbers that incorporate a big chunk of the cast. And JC picks up Keri and then drops her. Okay, so you don't see the actual dropping, but it's still amusing to think about.

Can't Get Next To You - I know what you're thinking. You think I'm going to gush over JC, right? But I'm not. I'm totally here for Marc. Sorry, JC. You'll have your turn.

Peace Love and Understanding - because Albert is h.....okay, FINE, FORGET IT. Besides that, though - Chasen wears a hoop earring shaped like a star. Yes, that's what I took away from this video. Because it's funny, people.

This Is The Way We Roll - because Dale may not be Albert, but he's wonderful in his own way. Go, Boppin' Bob!

All 4 Love - MMC boys + Color Me Badd + suits = me happy.

Take Time - if you've seen it, you know why. It's too corny to not love.

Thriller - another one where I don't really know why, but I just sort of like it.

Remember The Time - ditto. Oh, okay, fine, JC is cute. There, I said it.

Free - let's not talk about Albert's hair. No, no, let's not. It's painful. Shhh. I do like this song, though. But, quick question - why is everyone wearing layers except Tiffini, who's nearly naked in comparison? *pause* Oh, riiiight. Never mind.

2 Legit 2 Quit - I think pacific_gravity mentioned the absurdity of the softshoe routine in the middle of a freakin' MC Hammer song back when she posted the clip. I'll let that comment stand on its own.

Let's Get Together - the version not on the MMC album. Again, I don't know why, but I just like it.

Set Adrift On Memory Bliss - because Dale is smoove like butta, baby. And you know he knows it, too. And why is Mylin in every goddamned video? I mean, I love her too, but....wow. Let's get Jennifer up in here every once in awhile, you know?

I Can't Dance - because there's something oddly appealing about Tony Lucca pretending to be a nerd.

Mysterious Ways - yeah, this one basically stands on its own. Twirls! Floppy hair! (Honestly, though? Season 6 hair is my personal fave. Just saying).

All I Want - because it focuses on the guys who aren't JC-Tony-Blain-Dale. And they're all frolicking in a field together! And Kevin is wearing a button-up shirt, a tie, overalls, AND a jacket!

If You Believe - what can I say? I like the big cheesy group videos.

Merry Go Round - boys in suits! Whee!

Let's Get Together - the version that is on the MMC album. And yeah, it's basically because of JC's hair. And I realize how incredibly wrong that is.

Cool Love - the video version. Because Tony's dance up and down the dock is ridiculously funny. And it's all a very nice video, really, if you ignore Tony's chest hair and the fact that, for some inexplicable reason, Marc's outfit is eight sizes too big for him.

Here We Go Again - because Justin is a little baby lamb and just so incredibly cute.

Runaway Train - have I mentioned my fondness for season 6 JC-hair yet? Yeah, I figured I might have. Ahem. And also, there's this one point where Marc and Dale are like, singing and staring into each other's eyes and it's just funny. And I really, really don't understand the significance of the clown jumping in the mud puddle.

Step To The Rhythm - big dance numbers. Yeah. They're cool. Even if Keri insists on flinging that huge-ass mane of hair everywhere. Seriously, would it have been so hard to just tie it back for once? Lord. I think that mess actually swallowed Lindsey whole at one point.

Funky Big Band - because it features Ilana, whom I love dearly, and they're all so good at the dancing. Justin and Britney, especially. They're like a little machine.

Who Is It - my favorite JC-MMC look ever. You guys can have your Mysterious Ways, this is it for me. *le sigh*

I'm sad to say, I have not seen all that season 7 has to offer. But I've seen enough to have a few opinions (of course!):

Better Be Good To Me - because she might overdramatize every single damn thing in the world, and she's never really been my favorite, but I thought Nita did a very good job with this one. She rather surprised me. And her hair looks kinda decent, too, as opposed to those weird bang-curl things she had going on in season 6.

I Don't Have The Heart - because Tony is the MMC heartthrob and he totally works it. And if you notice, Dale looks bored out of his damn skull during this one. It's great.

Cantaloop - because I will never understand it. Never.

Little Miss Can't Be Wrong - because they all look cute and like they're having fun.

Cry For You - because JC and Ryan both mess up, and it's adorable. And they made Dale wear a sleeveless shirt, like, wow, way to bring in the perverts (like me!), Disney.

Now And Forever - JC! Richard Marx! Chez falls down and goes boom!

The Way She Loves Me - because JC and Tony can't stay away from each other. And poor Marc seems so left out. Don't worry, Marc! I still love you!

My Cherie Amour - because, even if Matt was the male Nita with the overdramatizing, he still rocked this song. And there's Justin, right in the middle of it, as usual. Why did they insist on putting Justin in the middle of the older guys, anyway? They didn't do that to Tate, did they? (I say Tate and not Ryan or TJ because I think Tate had the vocal range to have pulled it off - if that's the argument as to why Justin was always in there).

Aww, MMC. What did I do without this crazy, silly, embarrassing show?
