Yeah, I know.  It's the off-season and I went a little missing again.  As I do.  The only show I've been keeping up with is Raising the Bar, and though I really enjoy it (I'm going to be on vacation in Las Vegas for 10 days - eeek! - and still plan on watching it on Monday night if possible), I don't feel the need to write about it every week.

Friday Five:
1. What do you like or dislike about autumn? Autumn is honestly my favorite season. I like that it's not so bitchingly hot, but it's not so incredibly cold either. Sweaters and sweatshirts are still kind of a novelty, whereas by March or April, it's like "Can't I get out my summer clothes yet?!" And I love the colors. What I don't like...well, it means that winter is coming soon. That, I'm not so fond of. Plus, it's always disappointing when summer ends. I'm not sure why, as I'm not in school anymore, but it's still a bit of a letdown.
2. Have you raked leaves into a pile just to jump in them? The jumping wasn't the end goal, no. But I have jumped into a pile of leaves, and personally, I think it's a bunch of hype. I was imagining a big, cushy, soft pillow, and instead it's like "Ooof! There's the ground! And is that a stick? Oh my god, is that a bug?!"
3. Have you ever carved a pumpkin and how did it turn out? I used to when I was little, but I thought the mess was nasty. One year, I got a book that had pumpkin-carving designs in it. You'd just tear them out, tack them to the pumpkin, and you could trace the shapes onto the pumpkin so you knew where you were cutting. That was pretty cool. The pumpkins looked damn nice that year.
4. Have you ever eaten anything made from pumpkins other than pie? Nope. I'm not a big pumpkin fan. The closest I come is carving them.
5. Where is a good spot to see the leaves change color where you live? Somewhere where there are trees? Heh. We've got a lot of trees around here, so it's not that hard. If you go back in the woods behind my house, there's an open area surrounded by trees, and that can be pretty cool to look at. The colors are awesome there.

And one more, just because:
1. Have you made any Halloween plans? I'm going to be working all day. Ten hours, in fact. *sigh* So, no, no real plans. I guess everyone at work dresses up every year, but we have a new manager and nobody is really sure whether he's going to okay that or not. I haven't really considered a costume. I will probably just be Pharmacy Tech Girl - like every other day, except this time, I'll use capital letters. Heh.
2. At what age should you stop trick-or-treating? I'm kinda of the opinion that by the time you reach high school, you should stop. It's fun and all, but most people get cleaned out of their candy pretty fast, and it seems unfair to all the little kids who really get into it to have all the candy stolen by the older kids.
3. What's your favorite kind of Halloween candy? Caramel apple suckers. Mmmm. And I still love Tootsie Rolls. I don't know if they really count as Halloween, but lots of people give them out because they're easy.
4. Are you more likely to trick someone else or be tricked yourself? Be tricked myself. I hate playing tricks on people. It just seems stupid to me. I'm not a big fan of the whole "Let's scare someone into wetting themselves!" scenario.
5. Do you believe in ghosts? I'm honestly not sure. I've heard a lot of interesting stories. I've never had any real reason to believe personally, but I'm open to the idea that there could be ghosts.

In other news....stamplet has been having the biggest MMC party ever in her journal, which of course, makes her the coolest person alive. *cheers* So far, I've gotten: Stone Cold Gentleman, Motownphilly, the Camp Rap skit, the Bomb Squad skit, Pride In The Name of Love, Black Or White, The Way She Loves Me, and a handful of credits and Emerald Cove.

Yeah, I've pretty much been camped out in her journal as of late, why do you ask? Heh.

But, MMC! It's so fun! The hair, and the dancing, and the clothes, and I think Blain even got to sing in one song, instead of just lurking around and looking creepy! I am pretty durn impressed.

66/115. Damn, that doesn't seem that impressive, after all! :-( I figured I had more than that, I felt like I was zipping through that. Well, then. Of course, it didn't help my case that there were about eight thousand Adam Sandler movies, and I typically avoid Adam Sandler movies like the plague. Honestly, though - I probably have seen parts of Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison, but I can't remember for sure, so I didn't mark it. That....isn't really relevant; I just thought I'd say.
