Triple chocolate chip meringue cookies have been procured. They have been tasted. Ehh....I don't know. I mean, they're not bad, but they're not the best cookies I've ever tasted, by any means. And they smell kinda funky, but once you get past that....yeah.
I have been totally and overwhelmingly hit by pop-up ads today. I don't get it. Why me?! I assumed it was all Grokster's fault, and uninstalled it. It's been working pretty badly lately anyway (i.e., not working) so I figured "What the hell, not a big loss. When I want to download something, I'll just reinstall it." I'm hoping against hope that's the problem. So far, so good. *knock on wood*
Speaking of procuring things.....I managed to get the clip of JC presenting at the Billboards. (Or, announcing. You know). Boy did look good, but I'm with the general consensus on this one - JC, baby. Are you blind as a bat? Because you're kinda giving us that impression. Just wear the glasses, sweetie. From what I've seen, Nicole Kidman wears her glasses when she has to read a teleprompter. I'm sure it's not that hard.
Also - from reading different LJs this afternoon.......JC used to date Fergie? How come I was not aware of that? I feel like a failure. On that note....who the hell has this kid been linked to, anyway? Whether or not anyone ever came out and said "They're together", or whether it was just assumed? Naturally, I know Nikki Deloach and Bobbie (I'm not *that* out of touch), and Tara Reid. And I've heard rumors about Emmanuelle, and even to the chick from the BBB/IGBM videos. But who else is there?
You'd think I'd be more up on the kid's love life than I am. Like I said - I'm a failure. *hangs head*
Moving along....weird freaky-ass occurrence here today...
This past summer, one of our cats (we had three) was shot and killed by our neighbor's son. (Okay - allegedly by our neighbor's son, even though we all know the little bastard did it). He was a black cat named Slick, and we'd had him for 11 years - which equals out to half of my life. Obviously, we were all extremely, extremely, upset about this, and we ended up burying him in our backyard, in a corner he liked to hang out in.
All day today, there's been a black cat hanging out around his grave.
Yeah, that's a little strange. Of course, we all knew there was another black cat in the neighborhood - oddly, it only seemed to show up after Slick died, but still. We knew it was there. But to look out and see it in our yard, hanging out there, of all places - was just a little strange.
....After some consideration, it seems that removing Grokster has not, in fact, gotten rid of the pop-ups. Damn it to hell.
