All it took was a dance to break the ice between General Hospital newcomer Shaun Benson (Steven) and Maurice Benard (Sonny). "Maurice didn't talk to me my first two months on the show," confides Benson. "Not on purpose. We just never spoke. Then one day I was doing this ridiculous dance on-set to get my juices going before a scene. I call it 'The Gay Male Stripper Dance'." In the distance, Benson heard "this howling. It was Maurice. I had never even seen him smile. He calls me Hobbit, because of my curly hair. He was like 'Hobbit, do that dance again.' So I started doing it again. From that moment on, I haven't seen him not smile."
The Gay Male Stripper Dance! Oh, dear god, I love him. Love.
