I mean, it's not that I mind this.....how can you knock old-school Disney, even if they did kill Bambi's mom?.....but it's two in the morning. I'm so confused! Don't they think they might have better luck showing it at, say, 7pm? Or something? Are they just hoping to catch all the drunk and/or stoned people right now? Do stoners have a thing for Bambi?
Yeah. I just don't really get it. And I might be a little irked because now, I'm kinda tempted to stay up and watch it, instead of going to bed like I damn well should. *sigh*

Jun. 5th, 2005 04:01 pmI was going back through some old entries, and I found this that I'd written about General Hospital in October 2003, i.e., shortly after Kelly Monaco showed up and was "sparking" (or not) with Jax.
It's always nice to see a woman with a backbone. But again, I'm willing to bet she'll come to town, meet Sonny, and suddenly become a simpering mess who can't do anything without Her Man. *sigh*
Seriously, people. I think I have The Gift.
(Or, okay. Maybe the writers are just so blatantly stupid that you can see their plot twists coming from a mile away. Still).

Actually, before I bitch, let me rhapsodize. Yeah, they're finally doing something right, in my little eyes :). The Emily story. Man, it kills me day in and day out. I completely accept Natalia Livingston in the role of Emily now (not that I had that much trouble in the first place - I'm one of the three people in the world who weren't a raving Amber Tamblyn fan). Every day, I'm tearing up and all choked up over this story. I know damn well the girl probably won't die. But yet, I get upset.
They're all just doing such great acting. Emily, Zander, Nikolas, Elizabeth, Lucky, Jason, Gia, Monica, Alan.....the list goes on and on. Just, *thud*.
At this point, I think I'll almost feel cheated if the girl DOESN'T die. Though I do want Natalia to stick around. And I know that 99% of the spoilers suggest she'll make it through. (Besides, that would be convenient, now that she's married to Zander and in love with Nik). But, can you imagine the heartwrenching scenes we'd get if she actually died? Oh, man.
God. Looking back, it's hard to believe I ever liked that story. Or that I ever, like, wanted Emily to live. What was wrong with me?!
(However, I have found proof that I called the Jax/Courtney romance, Luke/Skye kinda-romance, and Zander/Maxie friendship long before they actually happened. So I feel a tiny bit better. Heh).
