Triple chocolate chip meringue cookies have been procured. They have been tasted. Ehh....I don't know. I mean, they're not bad, but they're not the best cookies I've ever tasted, by any means. And they smell kinda funky, but once you get past that....yeah.
I have been totally and overwhelmingly hit by pop-up ads today. I don't get it. Why me?! I assumed it was all Grokster's fault, and uninstalled it. It's been working pretty badly lately anyway (i.e., not working) so I figured "What the hell, not a big loss. When I want to download something, I'll just reinstall it." I'm hoping against hope that's the problem. So far, so good. *knock on wood*
Speaking of procuring things.....I managed to get the clip of JC presenting at the Billboards. (Or, announcing. You know). Boy did look good, but I'm with the general consensus on this one - JC, baby. Are you blind as a bat? Because you're kinda giving us that impression. Just wear the glasses, sweetie. From what I've seen, Nicole Kidman wears her glasses when she has to read a teleprompter. I'm sure it's not that hard.
Also - from reading different LJs this afternoon.......JC used to date Fergie? How come I was not aware of that? I feel like a failure. On that note....who the hell has this kid been linked to, anyway? Whether or not anyone ever came out and said "They're together", or whether it was just assumed? Naturally, I know Nikki Deloach and Bobbie (I'm not *that* out of touch), and Tara Reid. And I've heard rumors about Emmanuelle, and even to the chick from the BBB/IGBM videos. But who else is there?
You'd think I'd be more up on the kid's love life than I am. Like I said - I'm a failure. *hangs head*
Moving along....weird freaky-ass occurrence here today...
This past summer, one of our cats (we had three) was shot and killed by our neighbor's son. (Okay - allegedly by our neighbor's son, even though we all know the little bastard did it). He was a black cat named Slick, and we'd had him for 11 years - which equals out to half of my life. Obviously, we were all extremely, extremely, upset about this, and we ended up burying him in our backyard, in a corner he liked to hang out in.
All day today, there's been a black cat hanging out around his grave.
Yeah, that's a little strange. Of course, we all knew there was another black cat in the neighborhood - oddly, it only seemed to show up after Slick died, but still. We knew it was there. But to look out and see it in our yard, hanging out there, of all places - was just a little strange.
....After some consideration, it seems that removing Grokster has not, in fact, gotten rid of the pop-ups. Damn it to hell.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

Dec. 11th, 2003 11:07 pmI actually had sort of missed Good Morning Miami.......but yet, still didn't miss Jake and Dylan. I was personally hoping Victoria would get the apartment, especially after Jake sunk to the level of pretending to be Frank's best friend. Poor Frank. :-/ Jake sucks. And if I have to hear Dylan pronounce something or someone "really mean" ever again, I may throw something at my TV.
However, Gavin and Penny continue to amuse. They're basically the reason I tune in, other than Jillian Barberie, who was sadly missing from tonight's show. :-( I hope she'll be back....
Scrubs was much better without all the focus on Tara Reid. But hey, Scrubs is never really bad, by any means.
I missed most of ER, because I had to watch the Osbournes Christmas special......( Read more... )

My mom seemingly does not understand my great love for *N Sync, sadly. She's not into JC ("Have you looked at his nose?!?!"), she can't stand Justin ("Everybody treats him like he's a little god..."), and she insists on calling Joey, Joey Fa-tony.
She doesn't seem to mind Chris, though. I think that's mainly because she doesn't have to hear about him too often.
And then, of course, there's Lance.
Mom: Maybe I'm the first person to say this......but that Lance? I'm thinking he swings both ways, myself.

And it's not even the one with the JC tracks on it! I mean, I don't even have that excuse! It's their first one (who'd imagine they'd release more than one, huh?) This was back in my days of hearing one song I liked, and then procuring the CD. Needless to say, I'm a lot more picky now.
Seriously, it'sstargems's fault. Well, not that I own the CD or anything, though I wish there is someone I could blame for that. But in all this talk of Wild Orchid, and JC apparently having a thing with Stacey/Fergie (seriously, am I the only one who did not know that?! Apparently, I've been lacking in my research of The Chasez's sex life), and then all the pictures, and just.....yeah.
So, I went and found the CD from where it had been relegated in the basement. And....yeah. Just, yeah. There's a song on here, called My Tambourine. Bad enough. I haven't even listened to it yet, because - well, because I'm not that brave yet, honestly. But here are some of the lyrics, for those who want to feel the pain: ( Read more... )

Dec. 11th, 2003 11:48 pmYou know what? (Besides the fact that I am hitting up my LJ today like nobody's business, you ask?) I love my MMC DVD. Lovelovelove it. Love it lots, even. However.....
.....I really wish we could get us some more clips. MMC, Emerald Cove - all of it. Seriously, that would rock my socks off. And it would make the DVD I have feel much better, and a lot less worn out, since I have to make do with playing that all of the time. Nsyncland, hear my fervent prayers! :-(
Yeah. I'll try to leave this thing alone now. *crosses fingers*
