chrysalitronI just don't understand how Carly is not completely taken in by Steven's charm. He's totally babbling and acting adorable! How can she just stand there and look at him like he's weird? Caaaaarly, come ON.
Now we know that Kristina is truly Sonny's child. She only responds to dark-haired women. Seriously - first she responded to Sam, now she's responding to Jordan, but everyone else? They can forget it.
Michael: Sam spent the night here, and so did Kristina's mom. Dad dumped both of them....
And here all the adults assume Michael knows nothing about what goes on in their lives. Heh. I bet he could give Jordan exact dates and times, too. Though I must say - all interrogating aside - he was actually quite polite to her. If only that could last.
Courtney: Have a shrimp.....I made way too many for Jax and me.
*snickers* That was tactful. Though I guess if I were stuck in that situation, I probably wouldn't know much of what to say, either.
Courtney: My brother is hands down the most selfish man I've ever met.
Okay, while I'm confused as to where Court's sudden hate on Sonny came from.....I have to give her props for pointing out THAT obvious fact.
No, no, no! It's Diego and Brookie! Why was I not warned about this?! Not fair!
But on that note.....there's a massive snowstorm going on, and Brookie's just wandering about? Do her parents not realize where she is? Or, like me, do they just not care?
Liz and Lucky are so cute. I've said it before, and I'm saying it again - I would rather watch Liz and Lucky do pretty much anything over watching Emily and Nikolas.
Bobbie: We're really swamped right now.....
Uh, Bobbie, that might be a little more believable if you were doing something besides just chatting Luke up. I particularly love how she finished that little speech up with "Now I'm going to go lie down and wait for the storm to end." Heh - swamped, indeed.
These Journey scenes, believe it or not, are actually working for me, and - for once - it's due to Courtney. She's not acting all uncomfortable and awkward.....she's alluding to their relationship (of course she is - because Journey has the lifespan of a Galapagos turtle), but she's being casual about it. It doesn't feel like "Oh, I miss you sooo much!" but just a friendly little "Hey, remember when that happened?" I like this much better than the usual staredowns. Well, you know - if I have to watch them together, that is.
Brookie: [Lorenzo] thinks you're a pain, on a good day.....
Yet another reason why I love Lorenzo. And, aww, does Adrianne Leon have a cold? She sounds pretty stuffy. Poor girl.
Dear Liz and Lucky: I hear Kelly's has bedrooms upstairs. With, you know, beds. Hey, it's just something to think about.
I love the fact that Courtney is like "My life is so different now....I run a foundation!" Uh, yeah, and you also have a foster kid. But don't worry, nobody expects you to care about him, or the fact that he's gallivanting about in a snowstorm. It's no big deal.
I'm amused by the fact that Jax is trying to remind Sam of how independent she used to be, and she was like "Jax, you didn't even LIKE me." Heh. Like I said - as friends, I can really enjoy these two. But if they try to turn them romantic again, I'm going to cry.
Rather than all these separate little conversations, I'd love it if the whole group at Kelly's just decided to hang together and chat. I mean - Mike, Jax, Sam, Liz, Lucky, Brookie, and Diego. How often do we see all of them interacting with each other? It would certainly be different.
What is it with all the teens just wandering about in the middle of the blizzard? First Diego and Brookie, and now Georgie and Dillon.
Okay, am I the only one who, when Bobbie was told that her niece was on the phone, assumed it was Lulu? And then, when it turned out to be Georgie, had to sit here and think for a few minutes on how they were related?

Hee. See, this is why I'm willing to give Carly/Steven the benefit of the doubt. She's giggling and amused, instead of just snarling and miserable. It's such a nice change.

I love how even Sam said "Danny?" like "Are we still pretending that that story actually happened?"
Max: Sonny sent me out for cookies for Michael.
Mike: Well, never mind that it's the worst storm of the century....
No kidding! Poor Max. It's a freakin' blizzard, the roads are closed down.....and Sonny's like "My kid wants cookies. Go."
Jason: [Sam] made plans to be a stay-at-home mom....
Well, uhm, I hate to quibble, but what else would she have been? It's not like she has a job.

At this point, my fifteen-year-old nephew walked into the room and went "Oh, awkward." Heh.
Here's the thing that amuses me about snowstorms on soaps: The roads always get closed down, so we can have, say, Courtney/Jason and Jax/Sam trapped together.....but yet, we still have characters like Georgie and Dillon out on the street. Great continuity!
Jordan: I think you're lonely.
*eyeroll* If I'm supposed bad for Sparkles because it's been, like, five minutes since he had a woman in his bed.....it's not going to happen.
I will say, though, that I'm warming to Jordan. Yeah, I know - the last thing we need is someone else on this show who thinks Sonny is the be-all and end-all, but still. I'm just grateful to see her finally showing some layers, instead of just being Personal Attack Lawyer.
You know, if Carly and Steven were to kiss right now, I think it would be the first daytime kiss where both characters were wearing reindeer antlers. And by the by? Tams in reindeer antlers is, like, the cutest thing ever. Aww.
While I've had my problems with Dillon and Georgie in the past.....I have to say, I'm rather liking them right now. They rushed to the hospital in the middle of a snowstorm just to make sure Skye was okay! And they were really worried about her! Aww.
If I'm going to be honest here, the Journey interactions weren't so bad.....right up until Courtney figured out that Jason had feelings for Sam and started indulging in a royal pout. After that, it derailed right off into the same crap I can't bear to watch. But for awhile there - it wasn't so bad.
Oh, look, Lorenzo randomly stumbled upon a pregnant woman who, naturally, just happened to go into labor. Considering that the last time he tried to deliver a baby, he got a gunshot wound for his troubles, I wouldn't blame him one bit if he was like "Hey, Mike.....you want this one? Think I'm gonna pass."
Ouch. I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that watching another woman give birth right after losing your own baby is not high on the list of Very Fun Activities. To borrow the phrase from my nephew: "Oh, awkward."
Honestly? I really rather enjoyed today's episode. See what happens when we get a break from NEm? The show actually becomes somewhat enjoyable. And on that note.....even if I didn't say much about them, the Carly/Steven scenes were a particular highlight.
Tomorrow: NEm's back. BOOOO. Oh, and Nikolas insists that if Laura were dead, he would feel it. Yeah - because he's paid so much attention to her in the last few years and all. Shut UP, Nikolas.
