You'd think I would have learned by now that I should never - never! - forget to check the friendslist for a week, unless I am of course in Vegas. I think I got to something like skip=400, and that was with skipping over a lot of stuff. By the end of it, my eyes were like "Dear GOD, woman, what the fuck was THAT?"

Anyway. I've basically given up on CSI and WAT. I've accepted that I am never going to watch the last few weeks' worth of episodes, so I might as well give it up and start anew. So I shall tape tomorrow night's episodes and hope that, with the prospect of just one new episode each to watch, I'll actually do it. Instead of going "God, I have four episodes - of each show! - to watch", whining, and then not doing it.

So, yeah. If there is anything of note that happened in the personal lives of the characters over the last few weeks, I would love you guys forever if someone let me know what's up. I don't care that much about the Case of the Week - but if Catherine Willows had sex with someone or Martin Fitzgerald relapsed, that's the kind of thing I'm curious about.

One Tree Hill - I desperately need to remember to tape the next episode. It's the season (series?) finale, for god sakes! So you know damn well I'm probably going to forget it, since that's what I DO. I think my father has tied up the VCR for the time being, so I'm literally setting my tape on top of my purse so there's no way I can leave for work tomorrow without remembering it. Let's keep our fingers crossed on that one.

Sooo, Daytime Emmys....I don't have a clue what the hell happened. I haven't really bothered to check. I did hear a rumble that GH won Best Show or something (*sigh*) and that Tony Geary pulled off Lead Actor. Oh, and that Zimmer took Lead Actress, because all the fangirls on the GH community were freaking out because Kelly Monaco was "ripped off". Other than that, not a clue. Did anybody humiliate themselves? Were there any particularly pretty dresses? Any incredibly shocking wins?

Speaking of soaps....am I understanding this right? Are Sonny and Jason really trying to kill each other? Because if so, then that makes my heart SING. Yeah, I know, nobody will go through with it, and in the end, I'm sure they'll embrace to romantic music and all will be well, but still. Just the THOUGHT of those two possibly killing each other off makes me want to dance.

Another random soap note...am I the only one who hates it when people refer to the actors by their character names? For instance: "I really want Sonny to win the Emmy." Okay, I get it if you don't know the actor's name. But is it that hard to write "the actor who plays Sonny"? I don't know, it's just a pet peeve of mine. I always feel like commenting and saying "Yeah, I doubt Sonny is going to be winning any Emmys anytime soon, considering he's busy with the whole killing people for a living and boinking his latest girlfriend."

God, I am SO BEHIND. Seriously, that's what every single journal entry I've written for the last few weeks has said, isn't it? But it's so true. I haven't even updated my icons, people! You KNOW it's bad when I don't even update icons. Once I get my shit together - which probably won't be until the "season" is over - I need to go in and clean out the icons and start fresh. Because this just feels so wrong.

I'm ridiculously tired, and I'm sure everyone is sick of my massively long entries, but I wanted to get back into the swing of things and talk about recent television:

Miami - I know that this Horatio/Marisol business can't possibly end well, but they are so adorable together that I really want it to. Horatio is just so cute and cuddly when he's in love. Just the way he looks at Marisol with that dopey little smile.....I'm all like, aww, David Caruso, I can't even remember when I used to not like you! I do wish Eric was a little more involved in things, though. If you'd only seen the most recent episodes, you probably wouldn't realize that Horatio is dating his sister.

The Delko/Natalia/Ryan triangle is so stupid and childish that it makes me cringe. Horatio and Marisol are being handled so sweetly, and then....there's this. Eric and Natalia are acting like spoiled brats and Ryan is an oblivious tool in the middle of it all. Nobody is worth rooting for, which I hate, because I thought from the start that Ryan and Natalia could be a cute couple. But with her making cow eyes at Delko, and Delko pouting every time he sees one of them....it's been ruined for me and it hasn't even truly begun.

NCIS - I loved the Abby-centered episode from a week ago. I loved the fact that she handled things like a normal person. She was scared, she hid in the elevator. Typically on crime shows, if someone is in danger, they're either "above it all" or trying their hardest to pretend that they are. And Abby really had no issue with letting everyone know that she was scared. I loved it. I can't believe that when I first started watching, I thought Abby was too over-the-top and found her to be my least favorite character.

We all know how I feel about Tony, but you know something, McGee is working his way up there, slowly but surely. He is so cute and sweet. I loved seeing him take care of Abby, and this week, when he tried to comfort Ziva, I just melted. Quick question, though - do he and Abby have a past? There was all this talk about her toothbrush still being at his place, and it made me wonder.

Scrubs - Cox shaved! I'm so sad. And yeah, I know that wasn't really the point, but still. Scruffy!Cox was kind of hot. Other than that, I don't have much to comment on, besides the fact that I really loved the fact that Kelso dropped the bullshit for a minute and was honest with Perry. Aww! I love Bob Kelso.

SVU - I never did comment on The Big Breakup Episode, did I? I think I'll do that now. I kept hearing that Olivia and Elliot were going to "break up", but I had no idea it would be as powerful as it was. That scene where Lou Diamond Phillips had Elliot at gunpoint was very intense. I won't lie, I teared up. And we all know that I've never been big on the whole "Elliot and Olivia are soooulmates!" thing. But that scene kind of sold me on it. I still think a romance between the two would sink the show, but I really like the way they're handling it. It's like, there is something there, but it's left up to viewer interpretation whether it's an incredibly close friendship or whether it's something more than that. My opinion? I don't think the characters themselves even know. I think Olivia and Elliot are as confused by their feelings as anyone else is. That was driven home to me in this last episode, when Elliot confronted her over the partner change and she said "It's complicated."

This last episode....I thought Anthony Anderson did a great job as Blaine. He was a little over-the-top at first, but as the episode progressed, I began to see that he was a good detective. He just did things differently. Maybe he didn't do things right, but he wasn't an evil or bad man. He wanted to solve his case. He wanted justice for the victim, whomever the victim happened to be.

I ended up feeling sorry for Rudy, because he was so pathetic and sad. And I totally called that Jessica used to be fat herself and that's why she hated fat people. The courthouse shooting....I don't know, the amount of guns that have been getting into that courthouse is starting to become laughable. When Rudy laid eyes on Strahan, who didn't go "Oh, look, he's gonna shoot him"?

The promos for next week also made me laugh. "A case so big, it will bring her back!" Seriously, people, she's been gone a week. And saying she's been gone is really an overstatement, considering we saw more of her than we saw of Munch or Fin (you already know what I think about that, so I won't say it again). If she'd been gone for, say, an entire maternity leave, then I would understand the promo more. But, really.

So, yeah, kinda half-assed reviews, but....getting back into the swing of things. Or something. Maybe.

The Sonny/Jason break up was pretty spectacular for a day or two, but has since kind of fizzled. And Sonny did order a hit on Jason (AFTER JASON SAVED HIS LIFE), but cancelled it after having A Very Special Talk with Michael.

But, then, Sam got shot by someone hired by Manny and Jason blamed Sonny for about a minute until he was able to convince Jason that although Sonny had hired a shooter, it wasn't the one who shot Sam. So now they've established a truce of some sort. It was a pretty short feud. But, yeah, for a little while it was kind of awesome.

But the best part is Emily finding out that Sonny ordered a hit on her brother and forgiving him for it almost immediately.

The Sonny/Jason thing...I'm not sure whether to laugh at it or roll my eyes at it. I knew all along that it would fizzle out - because this is GH! - but it was just funny to think of the BFFs wanting to take each other out. All because Jason got his panties in a bunch because Sonny is having sex again. Bwah.

I love the whole "Well, see, I WAS going to kill you, but this time it totally wasn't me!" "Oh, okay - friends?" thing. Besides, when it all comes down to it, I'm sure the shooting was somehow Alexis's fault. Or AJ's.

Emily - I'm not even sure what to say. That's just comedy, right there. Though to tell you the truth, maybe she's as tired of Jason and his sanctimonious attitude as everyone else is. I'm waiting for the day when Princess Fluffy Toast herself is like "Yeah, let's just shoot him."

Best part about the break up? Another flashback montage!

HA! I feel like that would have been the perfect storyline-if Emily had just taken to being a Mafia Princess and was all about ordering hits and importing illegal goods (that are not drugs and/or guns).

I hadn't been watching SVU for a while, and then I saw last week's episode and was pretty bowled over by how good it was. I'm pretty pleased they aren't being explicit with what's going on between Elliot and Olivia, because that would be awful. And like you say, I don't think the characters really know what's going on. I do feel really sorry for Elliot. Because really, what does he have left?

I missed the first ten minutes of this week's episode, so I'm not sure how Elliot reacted initially, but I did love when he was getting yelled at for punching Anthony Anderson and he was like, "Oh I forgot, Olivia's a saint!" AHAHAHAAAA! I was mentally high-fiving him there.

I thought it was so lame that Jessica used to be fat. And the final scene where they show her the pictures of when she was fat and she freaks out - that was laughable. I don't really think anyone was sympathetic there. Like, Rudy was pathetic, but I hated the defense that he didn't know how to feed himself because his mother was never there. I definitely agree that class has a lot to do with nutrition and care and education, but that has NOTHING to do with the case. It also pissed me off that the defense lawyer started that protest because the police didn't investigate the attack on Rudy. Yeah, it kind of sucks, but he didn't file a report! How are they supposed to know when crimes are committed if people don't call the police?

The Elliot/Olivia thing is going really well, in my opinion. I had heard this is where they were going with it, and it was left kind of sketchy as to what, exactly, the issues were. And naturally, all the fangirls went "YES! They're finally professing their love!" and I automatically flinched. But they're surprising me. (The show, not the fangirls. The fangirls NEVER surprise me). I could see it going either way at this point. I still am not sure that it's the best idea, but it's coming across a lot better than I thought it would.

I do agree with you....how were they supposed to know that Rudy was even assaulted? I get that he was ashamed because he was a grown man and he couldn't defend himself against these two kids, but the fact of the matter is, he still should have reported it. Maybe things wouldn't have escalated the way they did if he had done so.

The whole "I'm fat because we eat in front of the TV" deal just pissed me off. Hammering the point home enough, SVU? I get that obesity is a big problem, but like you said, trying to pass off a murder on the fact that, oh, Rudy's mom didn't feed him like she should have....come on.

Something else that got me was how FAST Casey flipped him. I'm assuming there was a time constraint in there, but seriously, there were 30 seconds between the time he said "I regret shooting him" and then when he said "I don't regret it, I'd do it again." Apparently, Novak really CAN do her job sometimes. ;-)

Jessica, in general, was laughable. Every time she came onscreen, I had to fight the urge to leave the room just because she was so shrill and...bad. Hell, the girl was sodomized with a bat and had a finger sliced off, and at no point did I feel sorry for her, even before I knew what she'd done to Rudy. That's kind of sad.

But we don't get OTH here until the next night....so, so far, so good. I still have a chance to tape it. Let's just see if I manage it this time. Heh.

It's been awhile since i posted on here, mainly because i like u were getting tired of ripping apart everything i hate about the current state of GH, but with the show once again winning best show at the emmys I had to comment, First of I love Tony Geary but his win was kinda shocking considering the guy takes more vacations days than anyone in the world. As far as win for best show goes i just don't get it, I mean I must admit the last couple of weeks the show has got me back after a 5 year hiatus with the return of Robert Scorpio, The end of Jason and Sonnys "friendship"(if thats what u want to call it), and showing alot more of the Actual hospital and the people who work in it, but as I said that only started about 2 months ago, before that the whole show was being called the worst on tv by many of the soap bloggers with the same ole shot em up, blow em up, GH we all have grown to hate, and don't even get me started on the relationship of Sonny and Emily which I believe was started as a joke on a blog and has somehow become a major storyline. Even as I watched yesterday some of the gunplay was still going on, in the past 2 weeks both sam and Durant have been shot, with durant being less lucky and taking the ol GH Dirt Nap. Nonetheless I going back in the lion's dens of Guza and Pratt, they lured me in with promises of changes such as more diversity(something GH has not had in awhile) and long-time favorites coming back (and hopefully not destroying them this time)but why is the GH Hater in me saying Sonny and Jason will make up and go back to everyone kissing their ass, Robert will become a 2 day a week character, and Justus and Lainey will disappear faster than Courtneys dog.

Oh yeah the Sonny/Emily Coupling has been good for one thing, now 90% of their scenes are together!! It makes it much easier on me to have my tivo skip them all together!
